Christian Studies International (CSI) provides opportunities for Christian academics to teach overseas in public universities. CSI is the Canadian affiliate of the International Institute for Christian Studies (IICS), based in Overland Park, Kansas. Together, these two organizations have placed dozens of Christian faculty members at universities in developing and former communist countries, where they are able to provide students with an education that is rooted in a Christian worldview. CSI and its American affiliate IICS provide the logistics for placement, which is usually for one year or longer. Currently, openings exist in many countries, and in a variety of disciplines. Academic requirements are similar to those required for teaching at a college or university in North America.

CSI professors make a tremendous difference in the lives of hundreds of students overseas. In addition they receive a most interesting cross-cultural experience. Professors teaching with CSI must raise some of their own support, for travel, as well as partial salary. Often, the host university provides some salary, housing and other amenities. CSI will assist the professor in raising the necessary funds from churches, friends, and supporters. Donations for this purpose are channeled through CSI, which provides tax deductible receipts.
