It’s Time to Out-Run Poverty!
On Sep. 18 Micah Challenge Canada is teaming up with Make Poverty History and churches across Ottawa for a 5 km fun run/walk to show support for global poverty eradication – and something of God’s heart for the poor. There is no cost to participate, and runners can sign up as individuals or teams to participate. Participants can expect dynamic speakers, a great run, family-oriented post-run activities and refreshments. Register online. Micah Challenge Canada is a ministry partner of the EFC. 

Micah Challenge Anti-Poverty Events
Micah Challenge, an international anti-poverty campaign supported by the EFC, is designating several dates for prayer, fasting and activism to show solidarity with people who struggle with poverty worldwide. Next ones are Sept. 20 (in conjunction with a UN summit on the Millennium Development Goals) and Oct. 10 (Micah Sunday). Pastors Meeting on Marriage and Family
The Canadian Marriage and Family Network (CMFN), which operates on the EFC's administrative and communications platform, will facilitate an Oct. meeting in Saskatoon with local pastors and church leaders to discuss working together to intentionally transform the relational landscape of their churches and the communities they serve. Lausanne 2010
Can't make it to South Africa for the Lausanne Congress on World Evangelization in October? You can join the ongoing online discussion on key issues right now at www.lausanne.org/conversation, and/or you can attend live video feeds of the sessions hosted at many major Christian institutions.
