Which One Should I Interview?
The Evangelical Fellowship of Canada has a variety of experts who welcome media requests on issues of concern to Evangelicals in Canada. To arrange for an interview contact Gail Reid at 905-479-5885 x227 or reidg@efc-canada.com

  • Our most commonly quoted expert on issues of law and public policy is EFC Vice President Don Hutchinson in Ottawa at the EFC Centre for Faith and Public Life (also serves as the EFC’s general legal counsel).
  • For statistics and research, contact Rick Hiemstra at the EFC's Centre for Research on Canadian Evangelicalism.
  • EFC President Bruce J. Clemenger normally comments on issues involving faith and public life, as well as faith trends in Canada, but he is on sabbatical until the end of September 2010.
  • For other areas of expertise please see our speakers bureau or contact Gail Reid. Keep in mind that the EFC has an extensive network of contacts with expertise on everything from skateboarding ministry to international religious freedom.

Story Ideas
What party do most Evangelicals vote for? Communications director Gail Reid can help you contact Don Hutchinson at our Centre for Faith and Public Life in Ottawa. He helped write a research article on Canadian Evangelical Voting Trends by Region, 1996-2008 (published in the August 2009 issue of Church & Faith Trends). Hutchinson and EFC president Bruce J. Clemenger also discussed such issues in several broadcast appearances during previous federal elections. An archived episode of the EFC radio show Canada Watch addressed Election Do’s and Don’ts for Churches.

What has the EFC said about such-and-such (a particular social policy issue)? Make a quick scan of our list of current social issues of concern to Evangelicals and our main social issues webpage. Or if you're more interested in the faith angle, review our initiatives section (also includes info about EFC partnerships and inititatives, both nationally and globally). You'll probably also want to ask communications director Gail Reid to arrange an interview for you with EFC vice president Don Hutchinson.
