Our History
Around the year 2002, research showed that the Muslim population was proportionately the least reached and least served of any group in Canada. This startling fact led to the desire to start a national network on the EFC'S Ministry Partnership platform.
In June 2006, a consultation of 18 leaders from five major cities met together to decide if a national network was needed. Sensing the Lord's leading it was affirmed that a national network should be formed. Eventually the Canadian Network of Ministries to Muslims (CNMM) came into being with an official agreement to operate on the EFC's ministry partnership's platform. There are over one million Muslims in Canada with the population increasing in the thousands yearly.
In 2011-2012, the CNMM launched from the EFC partnerships platform to become an independent ministry organization. It is now a regular ministry affiliate of the EFC.
