Medical Student Wins Case Over Pro-Life Views

A medical student won his challenge to the University of Manitoba’s decision to expel him from medical school because of his personal pro-life views on abortion. The court ruled that the discipline process was biased and that the university failed to consider his Charter rights.

New EFC Weekly Prayer Prompts

This week’s prayer request is about human trafficking. Pray for healing and justice for victims of human trafficking and other forms of sexual exploitation, not only in Canada but also around the world. Pray that governments will be proactive in enacting laws that prevent the sexual exploitation of persons online and offline.

You can learn more on these issues at TheEFC.ca/HumanTrafficking.

This week, we highlight Defend Dignity, an organization that often partners with the EFC. Defend Dignity exists to end all forms of sexual exploitation in Canada.

Covid 19 and the restrictions have a significant impact on our lives. The EFC continues to offer new Friday@4 pandemic-focused prayer suggestions each week at TheEFC.ca/Covid-19.

Staying Motivated During a Pandemic and Preparing for the Post-Pandemic Letdown (two new posts on the Faith Today website)

Read more in the first of two new articles on the Faith Today website.

In the second article, an expert on pastoral health points us to the physical and mental habits that fight burnout and instead reignite a zest for life. This article is by Dean Davey of Surrey, B.C.
