Court Challenge to CPSO Patient Referral Policy

The EFC is an intervener in the case of the Christian Medical and Dental Society et al. v. the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO). The EFC is supporting a legal challenge to the CPSO policy that physicians must refer patients for medical procedures, even when the procedures violate a doctor’s conscience. This case, scheduled to be heard in June, could set a precedent for how professional associations treat conscientious objection. You can read the legal arguments that the EFC recently filed.

Our Whole Society Conference

How an inclusive society provide space for diverse perspectives and practices to be welcomed into the public sphere? Can we advance beyond simple toleration of religious and other differences to embrace a wider respect for all citizens? These are some of the questions to be addressed at the Our Whole Society conference, a multifaith conference supported by the EFC. There’s still time to join the discussion May 8–9, 2017 in Ottawa.

Why Send Children to a Christian Camp?

A Christian camp isn’t just about camping: it’s an opportunity for children to discover that they have a purpose in life and, while exploring creation, to learn about the Creator of us all. Christian camp counsellors see their work as a ministry, dedicated to ensuring that children encounter the love of God as they have fun and stay safe. For more information about Christian camps your children might enjoy attending this summer, see a list in the latest Faith Today.
