EFC WEBINAR: EVANGELICALS AROUND THE WORLD
Register now for this free webinar, Apr. 20, 2016 at noon Eastern time, to join Brian Stiller, global ambassador for the World Evangelical Alliance. He will share what he’s learned from his travels and his work on Evangelicals Around the World: A Global Handbook for the 21st Century as well as An Insider’s Guide to Praying for the World. Join us to learn from our brothers and sisters around the world: theEFC.ca/webinars.

OFFICE OF RELIGIOUS FREEDOM
The EFC has released a statement expressing disappointment on the closure of Canada’s Office of Religious Freedom. Aussi disponible en français.

PARLIAMENTARY MOTION TO STUDY EFFECTS OF VIOLENT PORN
The EFC supports a new parliamentary motion to study the negative effect on public health caused by easy access to violent pornography, and has released a sample letter Canadians can send to their MPs about it.

LETTER TO THE JUSTICE MINISTER
The EFC sent a letter last week to Canada's Justice Minister urging the strictest possible safeguards if the government proceeds with legislation allowing euthanasia and assisted suicide. The letter also urges protection for the conscience of medical practitioners and institutions.

TAKE 20 MINUTES TO PROTECT VULNERABLE CANADIANS
Some MPs say they’re surprised at how little feedback they’ve received from their constituents about planned new laws on assisted suicide and euthanasia (according to a recent EFC blog post). Learn how it can take less than half an hour for you to add your voice on this issue at this crucial time at theEFC.ca/EuthanasiaUrgentAction.

NEW RESOURCE: GIVE YOUR MP THE DETAILS
Now on our website: a briefing kit you can share with your MP (and use to equip yourself) about Canada’s development of new assisted-suicide laws. This collection of PDF documents summarizes the EFC’s key concerns and offers relevant testimony from medical professionals and others.

PRAY FOR TWU
The EFC was in court last week in Nova Scotia, intervening in support of Trinity Western University and its fight to ensure accreditation for its proposed law school. The Nova Scotia Law Society is one of three law societies that have refused to accredit TWU. The lower court in Nova Scotia ruled in favour of TWU. Please pray for the five judges who heard last week’s appeal case, for TWU and for healthy religious freedom in Canada.
