Love Is Moving Coming to TV
The EFC’s youth initiative, Love Is Moving, will be featured in a new TV show called Outside the Box With Sheldon Neil. Love Is Moving will have a weekly segment featuring young people living out God’s love. The show starts September 8 and will air Fridays at 8:30 p.m. on YesTV.
Homecoming for Rev. Lim
After more than two years, Mississauga pastor Rev. Hyeon Soo Lim was recently released from a prison in North Korea. He returned home last week and was able to address his congregation at Light Korean Presbyterian Church. The EFC wrote several letters on Rev. Lim’s behalf (most recently on July 11). Pray for restoration of Rev. Lim’s health and praise God for his intervention in response to the prayers of many.

Help Young Adults Through Back to School Transition
It’s nearly back to school time for university students, and many of them are moving away from home for the first time. Sid Koop of Truth Matters Ministries advises churches to stay present in the lives of students as they transition to new communities. “Remember that the first month young adults are in a new community may be the most important month for their long term health.” Read more of his advice in this post from our Three Questions series.
Speak Truth to Power: Use Words When Necessary
Western culture is obsessed with speaking up, says our columnist Carolyn Arends, and social media makes it easier than ever for us to mount our personal soapboxes. But Arends says we can reap greater rewards by listening intentionally and consistently to the voice of the Spirit, and only speaking when the Spirit directs.
