Trinity Western Case in Supreme Court

The Trinity Western University law school case was heard in the Supreme Court of Canada on November 30 and December 1. The EFC was a co-intervener with Christian Higher Education Canada joining many other organizations including ARPA Canada and the Canadian Council of Christian Charities.

You can read our live tweets from each day and watch footage of the hearings (Albertos Polizogopoulos, co-counsel for the EFC, appears at 25:40). EFC President Bruce Clemenger gave video updates from the Supreme Court on Day 1 and Day 2 of the hearings.

Please continue to pray for the justices as they deliberate. A decision can typically be expected within six months to a year. Pray that the outcome of this case will protect religious freedom in Canada, and pray also for Trinity Western University as it continues to provide quality Christian education. For additional resources on the EFC’s intervention in this case, visit www.TheEFC.ca/TWUlaw.

While we wait for a decision in the TWU law school cases, we can think about the implications for the Church, regardless of the justices’ final decision. EFC resident theologian David Guretzki attended the hearings and shares his reflections
