Support Bill Protecting Conscience of Heath Care Workers

Private member’s Bill C-418 will be up for debate in the House of Commons soon. This bill would protect health care workers from being compelled to participate in Medical Assistance in Dying. Let your MP know that freedom of conscience is important to you and ask your MP to support Bill C-418. See a sample letter and the EFC’s letter of support at TheEFC.ca/c418.

Canada Summer Jobs Legal Challenges

A federal court judge has granted the government's request to hear one group's challenge of the problematic attestation in the 2018 Canada Summer Jobs application. Seven other groups, including three EFC affiliates, will have their challenges of the attestation put on hold until the challenge by Toronto Right to Life is decided. Check our website for updates on the Canada Summer Jobs Grant Program.

Maxine Hancock reflects on how, even during the struggles of aging, Christians can still find new opportunities to serve and be transformed into Christ's image.
