What Does Unity Mean for Evangelicals?

Read the latest in our online Three Questions interview series. This week: David Guretzki, the EFC’s new executive vice-president and resident theologian, makes a concise case for why unity matters and what it looks like for Canadian Evangelicals.

Bill C-51 and Freedom of Worship

Bill C-51 removes a Criminal Code provision protecting the ability of clergy and individuals to participate in religious services without interference or disruption. The EFC is concerned this change will reduce protection for worshippers and places of worship at a time when hate crimes against religious communities in Canada are on the rise. Read more in the EFC’s fact sheet on Bill C-51.

Buying Sex Is a Crime Billboard Campaign

Buying sex (and even attempting to buy sex) is illegal in Canada. The EFC and other organizations across Canada are supporting a national billboard campaign called Buying Sex Is a Crime. Learn more on our website.

Bill 89: Information, Concerns and Next Steps

Ontario passed Bill 89, an overhaul of its child welfare system, on June 1, 2017. The new Supporting Children, Youth and Families Act, 2017 focuses on regulation of foster care, adoption, Children’s Aid Societies and child protection. The EFC has provided a fact sheet with brief description of the bill, our concerns and next steps.
