The EFC is part of a national initiative that today launched a billboard campaign called Buying Sex Is a Crime. Learn more.

Famine in Africa: Last Days for Matching Donations

Leaders from the EFC and other Canadian religious groups are appealing to Canadians to respond to the famine in South Sudan, Somalia, Nigeria and Yemen – one of the world’s largest humanitarian crises since the Second World War. We’ve provided a list of our affiliates in the region. The government will match donations made before this coming Friday.

Facts About Ontario’s New Child Welfare Laws

Ontario passed Bill 89, an overhaul of its child welfare system, on June 1, 2017. The new Supporting Children, Youth and Families Act, 2017 focuses on regulation of foster care, adoption, Children’s Aid Societies and child protection. The EFC has developed a fact sheet to provide a brief description of the bill, our concerns and next steps.
