EFC President Preaches at Church Celebrating Human Trafficking Initiative

Last Sunday, EFC President Bruce Clemenger preached at Valley View Alliance Church in Newmarket, which celebrated the launch of u-r home, an initiative to open the first safe house for victims of human trafficking in the area. Valley View birthed the initiative, which recently received charitable status. It will be a place of hope for rescued victims of human trafficking in York Region, north of Toronto. Three Questions on Summer Grant Announcements for 2018

Now that the government has announced its Canada Summer Jobs grants for this year, we asked the EFC’s Julia Beazley, director of public policy, to help us make sense of what’s happening with this controversy and the organizations that applied. Did the government reject all the groups that objected to the attestation this year? Learn more in our Three Questions on Summer Grant Announcements for 2018.

If your organization has been approved for a CSJ grant even though the wording of the attestation was altered or a letter was included, please let the EFC know at feedback@theefc.ca.
