NEXT EFC WEBINAR: RELIGIOUS FREEDOM OF OTHER RELIGIONS
Sign up now to join our Oct. 20 EFC webinar! Why should Christians care about the religious freedom of other religions? Bruce Clemenger, President of the EFC, will take questions and explain the Ktunaxa Nation case.

VISITING WITH THE ARMENIAN APOSTOLIC CHURCH
Last week EFC President Bruce Clemenger was in Montreal at a reception for Catholicos Aram I from Lebanon, one of two leaders of the Armenian Apostolic Church (the other, Catholicos Kerekin II, is based in Armenia). The event, attended by leaders from several Christian traditions, facilitated conversations on a variety of issues facing Christians in the Middle East and globally. Many of the Christian Syrian refugees who have come to Canada this past year are members of the Armenian Apostolic Church.

WHAT CHURCHES ARE LEARNING AS THEY SPONSOR REFUGEES
Thousands of Canadian churches responded to the plight of Syrian refugees by becoming private sponsors over the past year. Three such churches – in Calgary, Halifax and Owen Sound – are profiled in the Sep/Oct issue of Faith Today, Canada’s Christian magazine. Read about them online and browse the entire issue.

SUBSCRIBE AND GET THREE FOR ONE
New limited-time offer! Canada’s Christian magazine lets you give two gift subscriptions free if you buy a third subscription for yourself or someone else! Get details online or by calling 1-866-302-3362. EFC magazine subscriptions are great for all ages, since they include both Faith Today and our youth magazine, Love Is Moving. A great way to bless three people all at the same time – perhaps yourself, a young person off to university and a friend or relative?

GUEST INSTRUCTOR
The EFC’s Rick Hiemstra will be giving an academic lecture this week on how Christians interact with broader Canadian society, sharing the latest information about how many Christians Canada has, where they live and how they are engaged with society. He’ll be in Ottawa at the Laurentian Leadership Centre. Invite an EFC speaker to your school, church or other group.
