DAY OF PRAYER AND FASTING
A network of Quebec Evangelicals sponsored by the EFC is holding a day of prayer and fasting for Canada on Oct. 29, including a bilingual event at a Montreal church. The organizing team (including the EFC’s Pierre Bergeron) intends to make this an annual national event, although for this first year they are focusing on participation in Quebec. INTERNATIONAL DAY OF PRAYER FOR THE PERSECUTED CHURCH
Get free resources to observe this annual event, held this year on Nov. 13. The event is co-ordinated by IDOP Canada, a partnership of ministries including the EFC which raises awareness and encourages prayer for those who are suffering for their faith in Jesus Christ.

HELPING YOUTH TRANSITION AFTER HIGH SCHOOL; MISSIONS RESEARCH
The latest EFC newsletter, now available at TheEFC.ca/CanadaWatch, introduces two new research projects. The first will look at the transition after high school and how churches and ministry leaders can help young adults stay connected to church and faith. The second project will study what Canadian congregations think and practise in terms of missions.
