Global Day of Prayer and Fasting in Response to COVID-19 Pandemic

The EFC joins the World Evangelical Alliance in inviting Canadians and churches to a Global Day of Prayer and Fasting as part of the Church response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Join Our Webinar: Being Church and Neighbour During COVID-19: Crowdsourcing Great Ideas

On March 30 at noon Eastern, Faith Today editors Bill Fledderus and Karen Stiller will host a live webinar where you can share your ideas and tips on how you have been church and neighbour during this challenging time. Usually EFC webinars feature experts from the field, but this time we want you – the experts in the field – to tell us what you are doing and how you are doing it. No idea or gesture is too small. This is an unprecedented time, and we can all learn so much from each other. Join us at www.TheEFC.ca/Live. Sign up now to get a reminder.

Joint Letter Thanking Prime Minister for Support During COVID-19

The EFC, Canadian Council of Christian Charities and Canadian Council of Churches have written a joint letter to the Prime Minister thanking him for the support offered to registered charities thus far through the recent announcements related to the COVID-19 crisis. Read the full letter.

New Podcast: Peace in the Pandemic

Registered psychotherapist Sharon Ramsay shares tips on mental and spiritual health in a challenging time. Listen to this March 23 podcast or any of our episodes at TheEFC.ca/Podcasts.

Our Collection of COVID-19 Resources for Churches

The EFC is curating a collection of resources for churches at www.TheEFC.ca/COVID-19. Your contributions of articles, event notifications and other resources can be submitted there. For example, the Jesus Collective church network held an online conversation last week to share ideas. Faith Today editor Bill Fledderus attended and was inspired to write down many of the helpful ideas in a blog post. There’s a link to that blog post, a recording of the original conversation and more at www.TheEFC.ca/COVID-19.

Blazing New Trails in Atlantic Canada

Are you interested in the ancient spiritual practice of pilgrimage? Camino Nova Scotia is a local pilgrimage opportunity in Canada. Its founding director Rob Fennell (academic dean of Atlantic School of Theology in Halifax) shares how Camino Nova Scotia came to be, and why pilgrimage can draw us closer to each other and the Lord.
