Prayer is essential to any effective action. Each week at TheEFC.ca/TakeAction we rotate through a prayer request from each of these five areas: Sanctity of Life Care for the Vulnerable Church and Mission Family and Community Religious Freedom. We also list an EFC affiliate group to pray for.

This Week’s Prayer Prompts 

This week's prayer is about prostitution. 

Pray for those vulnerable to entering prostitution, who may be teens, low-income, from broken families or in foster care.  Pray for those exploited in prostitution. Pray for those who come in contact with sexually exploited people, including agencies and police officers.

Each week we also list an EFC affiliate organization to pray for. This week, pray for Compassion Canada, which partners with over 8,000 local churches in 29 countries to deliver our proven holistic child development program to more than 2 million infants, children and youth. Around the world, children, families and entire communities are being empowered to overcome poverty and thrive both now and into the future.

• for wisdom, courage and opportunities to love our neighbours

• Offer practical, tangible help to people in need or in crisis
• Raise awareness in your church and community
• Learn more about a topic individually or as part of a church study group

Ask for change

• Call, write or visit your MP. Remember to thank them for their service and let them know you’re praying for them. Find your MP’s contact information. Get great advice in our Engagement Kit.
