New Faith Trends Podcast Launching this Month

Faith Trends Podcast is launching this month as an initiative of the EFC’s research department to better connect research with its ministry implications for the Church in Canada. Our vision for the podcast is to highlight Canadian researchers, both established and emerging, and provide a platform for their work. We want to help build a bridge connecting researchers to ministry practitioners who might benefit from their work. You can listen to an introduction and the first episode now.

New EFC Weekly Prayer Prompts

This week’s prayer request is about the freedom to express our beliefs. Pray in thanksgiving to God for the freedom of religion we enjoy to God for the freedom of religion we enjoy; for boldness to follow God’s calling to be salt and light; for our nation to allow religious communities to exist and flourish; and for wisdom for the courts and elected officials. You can learn more on this topic at TheEFC.ca/ReligiousFreedom.

Each week at we rotate through a prayer request from each of these five areas: Sanctity of Life, Care for the Vulnerable, Church and Mission, Family and Community, Religious Freedom. We also list an EFC affiliate group to pray for.

This week, we highlight IDOP, which stands for International Day of Prayer for the Persecuted Church. This year, IDOP took place this past Sunday, November 7. Every year, Christians around the world set a day aside for prayer for our sisters and brothers who are persecuted for their faith.
