ASSISTED-SUICIDE WEBINAR: JOIN US ONLINE THURSDAY
EFC experts will take your questions on March 31 at a free webinar. Let’s explore what to do next, now that a parliamentary committee is proposing that all doctors and institutions be required to participate in an assisted suicide regime with no minimum age requirement or terminal physical illness requirement. Register now at theEFC.ca/webinars.

TAKING ACTION ON ASSISTED-SUICIDE LAW
The EFC is calling on the federal government to put in place the strongest possible protection for vulnerable Canadians if it proceeds with planned legislation allowing assisted suicide and euthanasia. Even after a parliamentary committee made news for recommending expansive access to assisted death, some MPs say they’re surprised at how little feedback they’ve received from their constituents (according to today’s EFC blog post). Learn more, including how you can add your voice on this issue at this crucial time, at theEFC.ca/EuthanasiaUrgentAction.

The EFC issued a statement today in response to Call to Action #48 of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission. Call to Action #48 invites all churches and faith groups in Canada to issue a statement by March 31, 2016 outlining how they will implement the UN Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples as a framework for reconciliation.
