TOMORROW’S WEBINAR: CLERGY WELLNESS
Please join us by computer for a free EFC webinar tomorrow at noon Eastern Time on Google Hangouts (9:00 Pacific/10:00 Mountain/11:00 Central/1:00 Atlantic/1:30 Newfoundland). What is the state of mental and emotional health of our clergy in Canada? What does wellbeing look like in a busy pastoral life that is often full of demands and ripe for burn-out? How can churches care better for their ministry leaders? Bring your questions and concerns to our experts from Shalem Mental Health Network and Wycliffe College. Register now for free at theEFC.ca/webinars.

GOVERNMENT HAS FOUR MONTHS ON ASSISTED SUICIDE
The EFC responded immediately to Friday’s news that the government has four months to formulate a legislative response to assisted suicide.

URGENT: YOU CAN ACT TO OPPOSE ASSISTED SUICIDE
Have you signed the anti-euthanasia declaration? Join the call to protect vulnerable Canadians and improve palliative care! Add your signature at euthanasiadeclaration.ca. Reaching a target of 10,000 signatories by February 6 will demonstrate to federal and provincial legislators that there is cross-Canada support for limits to euthanasia and physician-assisted suicide. This 900-word declaration was developed in October by the EFC and the Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops and has just surpassed 5,000 signatures (aussi disponible en français).

LETTER TO ONTARIO CONSULTATION ON ASSISTED DEATH
The EFC sent a letter last week to the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario Consultation on Interim Guidance on Physician-Assisted Death.
