New Dispatch from Brian Stiller: The World Evangelical Alliance: Nurturing Unity in a Diverse World

The World Evangelical Alliance began in 1846, when 800 church leaders rallied around the words of Psalm 133: How good and pleasant it is when brothers live together in unity. Since then, many national alliances have also sprung up around the world.

In his latest dispatch, Brian Stiller asks evangelicals to think about what else might be part of our future. “Could it be that of all we do alone, we might do better together? Might it be that the time has come that we would take the prayer of Jesus seriously – that we might be one, even as he and the Father are one?”

Pray for the Persecuted Church – November 3

Every year, Christians around the world set aside a day to pray for our sisters and brothers who are persecuted for their faith. The International Day of Prayer (IDOP) for the persecuted church takes place November 3 this year. The EFC is a partner of IDOP Canada. To learn more, visit IDOP Canada's website.

Lessons we’re learning on multicultural hospitality

When Filipino church planter Narry Santos arrived in Toronto, his friend told him some shocking news: "It does not make sense to plant a Filipino church in one of the most multicultural cities of the world." After being a full-time pastor for 13 years, Santos had to “unlearn all I knew and then be willing to learn how to be a new kind of church planter in Canada.” His essay is the cover article in the new issue of Faith Today.
