Brief on Palliative Care to the House of Commons Standing Committee on Health

The EFC has submitted a brief on palliative care to the House of Commons Standing Committee on Health. Joint Letter to Ontario Government on COVID-19

The EFC joined with Christian Legal Fellowship and Canadian Council of Christian Charities to write Ontario's Premier about the province's response to the COVID-19 pandemic. The organizations highlighted the essential role of churches and other religious communities and asked the Premier to prioritize support, increased flexibility and accommodation for religious communities.

New Analysis of Federal Conversion Therapy Ban Legislation

A new analysis of Bill C-8, the federal legislation to ban conversion therapy, is available on the EFC’s website. The analysis walks through the provisions of the bill and identifies the EFC’s concerns and recommendations.

New Blog Series on Reconciliation and Peace

We’re launching a new biweekly blog series on peace and reconciliation. The debut blog post reflects on the news that Abigail Disney, granddaughter of the co-founder of the Disney media empire, called for peace and reconciliation for the company’s employees. This new blog series is a partnership between the Peace & Reconciliation Network and Faith Today. The PRN is an initiative of the World Evangelical Alliance, and the author of the first post is Phil Wagler of Kelowna, B.C., who is both PRN North American network coordinator and lead pastor of Kelowna Gospel Fellowship Church, Kelowna, B.C.
