Euthanasia: Easy Way to Give Input on Dangerous Bill C-7

The Senate will vote on Bill C-7 today or tomorrow. It is expected the bill will pass, even though it puts the lives of Canadians living with disability at risk. The Senate has made this already deeply flawed bill even worse by adding euthanasia for mental illness alone and the ability to make a request for euthanasia before a person has been diagnosed with a disease. It’s urgent that we call on MPs to reject the Senate amendments. Watch TheEFC.ca/C-7 for updates and resources. The EFC is a member of the Coalition for Healthcare and Conscience, which has an easy, quick way to email your MP or senator directly about this bill at www.canadiansforconscience.ca.

New Action Kit to Protect Youth from Pornography

There is positive momentum now in the world of media and public policy that makes it a crucial time to act to protect children and youth from pornography, both in front of and behind the screen. Download our new pornography action kit to learn how to help. Will you join us in asking the government to require pornography sites to verify their consumers are adults and hold pornography sites accountable for hosting videos of child and youth sexual abuse?

Reconciling Blog: In Whom Do We Place Our Trust

It is not national states or political leaders in whom we trust, but our Lord whom we serve, write Johannes Reimer and Phil Wagler in the latest post at www.faithtoday.ca/reconciling. Read their article to find out what they mean by saying "followers of Jesus and citizens of the Kingdom of God do not push our own limited political agendas" while also warning against being "apolitical."
