Roman Catholic–Evangelical Dialogue Meets This Week
From June 28-30, EFC President David Guretzki will be attending Roman Catholic–Evangelical Dialogue meetings in Regina, Sask. This ongoing dialogue is jointly sponsored by the EFC and the Canadian Conference of Catholic Bishops (CCCB). The goal is to seek mutual understanding and to seek ways and means to address common concerns.

This Week’s Prayer Prompts
As we prepare to celebrate Canada Day on July 1, this week’s prayer request is for the Canadian government.
Pray for all leaders, regardless of their party policy or stances they hold. Pray for all leaders, offering thanks to God for the freedom of religion we currently enjoy. Pray for boldness to follow God’s calling to be salt and light, for our nation to allow religious communities to exist and flourish, and for wisdom for the courts and elected officials. Pray also for organizations and individuals who feel pressure to act in ways contrary to their consciences.
Each week we also list an EFC affiliate to pray for. This week, pray for National House of Prayer, which seeks to help build a bridge between our government leaders and caring Christians from across Canada. Chris Byberg of the National House of Prayer was one of the guests for a recent Faith Today Podcast about Canadian prayer networks, which you can listen to here.
