Breaking news: Motion to stop Bill C-9 debate

MPs are debating the motion to close debate on Bill C-9, the hate crimes bill. Debate began yesterday in the House of Commons and is continuing today. What should Protestants think about Lent?

Help shape Canadian research on global poverty

EFC supporters are invited to participate in a new national survey by Kentro Christian Network, in collaboration with partners working to alleviate global poverty. Kentro is a national network connecting Jesus-centred poverty alleviation organizations across the country, including many EFC affiliates. This first-ever national research initiative seeks to better understand how Christian Canadians think, feel and engage in relation to global poverty. The survey at research.net/r/KentroSurvey2026 takes 10–14 minutes. Responses will be reported only in aggregate form and will contribute to a public report available in Summer 2026. As a thank you, participants may choose to enter a draw for digital gift cards.

Please complete the survey by March 27, 2026.

Everyday Peace Indicators

Can peace be measured? Everyday Peace Indicators partners with communities to define and measure peace. Julianne Funk, one of EPI’s scholars and practitioners, joined All Things Reconciled Podcast host Phil Wagler to explore surprising peace indicators like trash and parks. They also discussed the role that Christians and churches can play in creating these “signs of peace.”
