How You Can Help High School Grads Keep the Faith – New Research

What happens in September after graduating high school is crucial to the long-term faith of Christian young people, a new research report suggests. “Roughly four in five young adults who connect with a campus group or church do so within the first month of starting at a new school or new location.” Learn more by reading the free download of Renegotiating Faith, a research report on young adult transitions conducted by the EFC and its partners. It is now available!

The Evangelical Fellowship of Canada, Power to Change–Students, InterVarsity Canada, Youth for Christ and Truth Matters Ministries partnered on this research to discover how we can help our teens stay connected to church and faith as they move on from high school.

Your Stories of Palliative Care—Melissa Wallace

The EFC is publishing a series of personal experience stories in support of our free new Palliative Care Toolkit. This week you can read the story of Melissa Wallace, who tells of spending New Year’s Day with their dying mother. “My mom’s final moments were peaceful, thanks to the palliative care team and to those who prayed for our family. After her funeral, I received an email from someone who had shared a hospital room with my mom. The woman spoke about how she was going to try church to keep her promise to my mom.” Have you witnessed the difference palliative care made for a loved one? If you have an experience that you’d be willing to share with other readers on our websites, please email us to tell us about it. To say thank you, we’ll give you a free one-year subscription to Faith Today, Canada’s Christian magazine. We’re also publishing these Stories of Palliative Care on the Faith Today blog.

EFC Vice-President in Alberta

The Beautiful Gift of Small Churches

Are you a member of a small church? "I am incredibly encouraged because I believe 8,000 small churches can have an impact beyond anything that up until now we haven’t even imagined." Ron Johnston of Small Church Connections encourages small churches to move away from using attendance numbers as the way to measure impact.
