Edmonton Event on Responding to Sexualized Culture

Julia Beazley, the EFC’s director of public policy, will be speaking at a Reveal Conference in Edmonton on Oct. 14. These conferences, which help individuals “understand and respond to the sexualized culture in which we live,” are held across Canada by the Christian activist group Defend Dignity.

Are You in Ottawa? Save Oct. 20 for a Movie Night

Because of Grácia is a movie by Christian Canadian filmmaker Tom Simes. It portrays a group of high school seniors as they face life-altering decisions and navigate faith, friendship and love. Richard Smith of The Christian Film Review calls it “an exceptional pro-life teen drama that isn’t afraid to tackle difficult daily issues that teenagers face today. It is inspiring, entertaining, humorous and not to be missed.” The movie has earned a Dove 12+ approval rating. Purchase tickets for the Oct. 20 showing at Met Bible Church in Ottawa. Learn more about  hosting a screening and the EFC’s support for this movie tour.

EFC President and Vice-President Schedule this Week

EFC President Bruce Clemenger will be attending the Canadian Forum on Inter-Church Dialogues, held later this week in Montreal. The Forum explores the various dialogues taking place between Christian traditions and denominations, both within Canada and internationally.

David Guretzki will be preaching at Toronto Christian Community Church on Oct. 14 and making keynote presentations at the Saskatchewan ACSI Conference in Moose Jaw, Sask., Oct. 18-19.
