Urgent Call to Prayer and Action on Assisted Dying

A change in the law allowing medical assistance in dying (MAiD) for mental illness alone will come into effect this March. The EFC is calling on each Canadian Christian to ask their Member of Parliament to stop the expansion. See the EFC's media release and action kit for more information.

You can also join the EFC Nationwide Prayer for MAiD, an online event Dec. 1 at 11:00 a.m. ET. (8 a.m. PT / 9 a.m. MT / 10 a.m. CT / Noon AT / 12:30 NL).

This Week’s EFC Prayer Prompts

This week’s prayer request is about pornography. Pray for freedom from the bondage of pornography and for healing in relationships affected by porn. Pray also for wisdom in teaching our kids and for legislators to recognize the public health impacts of porn and take steps to restrict its harms. You can learn more on these issues at

This week’s affiliate highlight focuses on Defend Dignity. The EFC regularly partners with Defend Dignity, an initiative of The Christian and Missionary Alliance (an EFC affiliate denomination).

You can always find the week’s prayer prompts at Also, we offer new pandemic-focused prayer ideas each month at
