EFC letter to finance minister on charitable status recommendations

The EFC has written a letter to the finance minister asking for clarification about recommendation 430 of the House of Commons Standing Committee on Finance report, which recommended that the government “Amend the Income Tax Act to provide a definition of a charity which would remove the privileged status of “advancement of religion” as a charitable purpose.”

EFC seeks youth interviewees for study on social media and faith

The EFC is partnering with 11 other organizations in a new research project about how youth and their church groups use social media to connect. The project seeks to interview 40 students in Grades 7 to 12.

Participating youth will be entered in draws for gifts and gift cards at various stages of the research process. Parental consent is required for the interview. Learn more at TheEFC.ca/IFS.

Lessons from writing history
