Love Is Moving on Vimeo

Love is Moving, a TV series for young adults produced by the EFC’s Joel Gordon and Ben Porter, is on Vimeo. It also airs on Fridays at 8:30 p.m. on YES TV. Watch last week’s episode here. It includes an appearance by former Toronto Maple Leaf goalie James Reimer, who speaks about his faith and his choice to put love into action by helping build an orphanage through a program called Ramona’s Reach.

The EFC at National and Provincial Prayer Breakfasts

Gina Waugh, Joel Gordon and Don McNiven attended the Ontario Prayer Breakfast on May 15. Gina is on the Board of Directors for the Ontario Prayer Breakfast. Then on Thursday, May 18, several EFC staff, including EFC President Bruce Clemenger, attended the National Prayer Breakfast in Ottawa.

Join in on World Refugee Sunday

World Refugee Sunday is held annually on the Sundays before and after June 20 (World Refugee Day) to remember the needs of refugees. Plan to join in prayer and action, responding in practical ways to God’s call to “love the stranger as yourself.” Visit Refugee Highway’s website for new information, resources and links.

Pray for Religious Liberty Around the World

The EFC is the Canadian regional member of the World Evangelical Alliance. The WEA offers a range of helpful email newsletters worth subscribing to, including two focused on religious liberty. One is a monthly research and analysis report. The other is a monthly prayer newsletter. Subscribe for free here.

New French Magazine / Nouvelle Revue Français

Vivre sa foi is a new French print magazine available from the EFC. The debut issue includes a series of shorter news articles as well as these four features:

Director of Donor Relations Visiting Ontario, B.C.

Don McNiven, our Director of Affiliate and Donor Relations, is visiting Ontario now and will be in B.C. in June. He will be in the Grimsby-Burlington-Hamilton area today and tomorrow, and in the Niagara Falls-St. Catharines area May 25–26. From June 12–15, he will be in the Chilliwack, Abbotsford, Langley, Surrey, Burnaby and Coquitlam areas of B.C. Love Is Moving Among B.C. Youth

Hundreds of copies of Love Is Moving magazine are being distributed in B.C. this month through the Historymaker youth conference (www.historymaker.ca). Students will also be challenged at the conference to join God’s movement of youth across the country who are vibrantly living out their faith and inspired to share how God’s love is moving in their communities. Tell us about your upcoming youth event or conference.
