Dr. Roger Helland is the prayer catalyst for the EFC and for Ignite Prayer Canada. Previously he served as the district minister of the Baptist General Conference in Alberta.

He is a graduate of Dallas Theological Seminary (ThM) and ACTS/Trinity Western University (DMin). With over 35 years of experience as a pastor, denominational leader and adjunct professor at several theological schools, his mission is to equip and empower missional, disciple-making leaders and churches.

His passion is for spiritual leadership and church renewal with a deep devotion to prayer and to the ministry of the word (Acts 6:4). He has written seven books including The Devout Life, Magnificent Surrender, Missional Spirituality and Pursuing God's Presence. He resides with his wife Gail near Calgary.
