This document from the EFC, the Christian Legal Fellowship and the Canadian Centre for Christian Charities (formerly Canadian Council of Christian Charities) offers guidance for churches on proposed bans of conversion therapy and related issues. It was jointly produced, and was released March 6, 2020.
Conversion therapy bans are being proposed or passed at all levels of government: municipal, provincial and now with
Bill S-202 in the Senate also at the federal level. This document summarizes concerns with the bans and suggests wording for communicating with elected officials on this sensitive issue.
