Bill C-75 (2018-2019): On human trafficking, obstructing clergy, child protection, abortion

Among other things, Bill C-75 would allow some serious offences related to human trafficking, assaulting clergy and infanticide to be considered as relatively minor summary conviction offences. The EFC’s briefs also comment on removing the Criminal Code provisions on abortion which were struck down by the Supreme Court in 1988.
